disney vacation packages vs. buying individal

my fiance and i are looking to go early dex or late nov staying aprox 5-7 days in DW and then another 4 or so outside in tampa and orlando. I was curious if the disney vacation packs actully save you money or if doing everything yourself is the cheaper route?

I find that generally you save money by not booking a package. The best idea is to price your trip both ways and then compare. The only time I booked a package was last year when Disney offered the Fairytale Package. That is the only one I found to really be a good value.

www.mousesavers.com has great codes to use when you book the trip yourself. We use to buy packages, but now find we save much more by booking the trip ourselves.

For the 4 of us to go, it was $250 cheaper on a 7 night stay at the All Star Movies to book individually, rather than in a package.
