Disney Vacation Club questions.

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this question. Feel free to move if need be. I'm thinking of opening a vacation club account and have some questions.

Is it set on monthly deductions or can you have money directed into account on each pay day?

Is there a time limit for how long you can keep the money in your account before you spend it ?

What advantages is there for having account? Gift cards for spending a certain amount?

Have the problems that people were having with these accounts been fixed?

Is the vacation accounts in anyway affiliated with Partners (Disney's Credit Union)? My thinking on this is I'm a member of Partners so if mess ups happen with deductions etc it will be easier for mistakes to be corrected.

How would you go about setting up account?

Can you spend the money in account in Disney Stores etc?

Is this type of account counted towards income?

You can do one-time contributions, weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly.

Is there a time limit for how long you can keep the money in your account before you spend it ?

I don't believe there is a time limit.

What advantages is there for having account? Gift cards for spending a certain amount?

You get $20 gift card for every $1000 you spend, to maximum of $500.

I don't believe so.

It doesn't pay interest, just the bonus gift cards. I would doubt that the bonus gift cards would count as income, but I'm suppose I'm not 100% sure.
