Short answer. Yes and yes. It is legit through Disney, it does work. there are several threads on here about how to best use it. the further out from your trip date you start the more benefits you'll get. I personally used it for a total of $15,000 towards my trip.

I have a few thousand in mine...good place to store those gift cards or extra cash you want to use for a Disney trip.

Money you take out 120 days or more after opening results in a $20 extra gift card for each $1000 you use to pay for a Disney vacation. Pretty good interest rate in today's environment.
