Disney Vacation Account

If I apply my Disney Gifts cards to my Disney Vacation Account, I have about 10-12, and they equal out to around $800 and then I want a refund if I don't go through Disney to book, will that be a problem?

Right now I just have $100 in it through my debit card. But I really have no idea if I will book next year with Disney. The Orbitz deals are great.

It took me a while to get somebody on the phone who actually knew what the heck they were doing but once I did it was very easy to get my 24 cards refunded. Make sure you keep those gift cards because the refund will go to the individual cards. I'm not sure if this is standard practice or not but I had to read off every card to the guy on the phone.

If you're not sure you'll be going then you're better off opening a bank account that is dedicated to your trip savings rather than buying gift cards. The money is still earmarked for your trip but you're not giving it to the Mouse before you know you'll need to give him any money.
