Disney Vacation Account and dining plan

Do you think I can use my Disney Vacation Account to pay for the dining plan?
I wonder if anyone has been able to do this.

yes, done it several times. Most recently this week. Just call and tell them you're charging it to a gift card.

I've had it for almost a year... haven't bothered yet Waiting till after we buy this year's tickets and AP, which will just about max out my bonus (assuming they count dvc dues).

Others have posted no issues getting the bonus with DDP and tickets. But the DVC dues are still unknow.

Based on a report from another board, dues count towards the bonus. That person has already received their Disney Gift Card(s) from paying their dues from the DVA.

So you deposit the money. After 120 days you're eligible for $20 per $1000? Once you've hit the initial 120 days can you deposit any amount you'll use to pay whatever Disney (dues, dining, tickets,) to max the reward benefits?

After 120 days is when you can claim the bonus. When you spend/add into the account has no time restrictions.

Option 1: Open account with $10. Day 121 put in 2k then buy APs. Claim bonus on day 122 day.

Option 2: Open account with 2k. Buy APs. Claim bonus day 122.

Both should have the same results for bonus. I'm still a bit surprised that they would pay for DVC dues.... but then it might be hard to track which are appropriate spending and which isn't.
