Disney Update on Mickey's Halloween Party

I am sooooo excited to attend the Mickey party this year!!!
We havent been to the Halloween event for 3 years, so there are lots of changes! Im really looking forward to experiencing it in Disneyland rather than DCA this year. We have tix for the 22nd and My mom will be taking my daughter on Tuesday the 19th and then again on the 22nd with us. So we will be loving the Halloween decor that Disney has to offer. :)
I dont mind paying the extra $ for a ticketed event because it feels that much more special. We have AP's but it only applied to the Tuesday ticket and not the Friday tickets.
Does anyone know how many trick or treating stations there will be? Im thinking maybe 6 or 7 stations? I feel like a kid, im soooo excited!!!

The trick or treating is set up really cool too. The past few years (at DCA) they were illuminated by these huge Mickey "ghosts" ... one of my favorite areas was the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail ... it was so cool to trick or treat along those trails! I can't wait to see what they'll do at DL...

I'm hoping to be able to do this next year with some grandkids so will look forward to all the reports. Do they give the kids a trick or treat bag or are they supposed to bring their own? And really..can adults trick or treat too? I mean..since I'll have a ticket.....:)

Heck, I wouldn't even consider going to the party if I couldn't trick or treat!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: That's the one place I can be a kid again and trick or treat - something I haven't done since childhood. I want my treats if I am paying roughly $50! I certainly can't tromp through my own neighborhood now, bag in hand, demanding treats on Halloween. DLR makes dreams come true and allows everyone to be kids and have the kind of fun they had as kids - and that includes the Halloween Party!!

Ohhh....do we need to dress up to trick or treat as adults? do most ppl dress up for this party?

No, you don't have to dress up, but a lot of people (young and old) do! It's a lot of fun to see all the costumes :)

You absolutely do not have to dress up. When we went to the party, we were in regular street clothes and we didn't feel out of place or odd at all. There were lots of folks not dressed up. There were also lots of folks who were in costume - I'd say that on my party night, it was about half in costume and half not in costume - but no one will notice or look at you strangely if you don't wear a costume at all!

And the good thing about the trick or treating is that we don't have to do anything embarrassing like say "Trick or Treat!!!" All we do is just stop at the treat stations, open up the bag they give us when we enter the park, hold it out and they dump the goodies inside!

Super excited! My husband was born on Halloween and our anniversary is right around the corner, so it's kinda a celebration of both! :-)

I went yesterday. They had HUGE tick or treat bags for $2.95 each at the shop across from the Emporium on Main Street. Not counting the handles I'm guess-timating the height and width at 15" X 14" and the depth was at least 8" or better. They were orange with Mickey and friends ghouling it up in a Mickey shaped area.

I wear a Mickey's Halloween t-shirt for past years as my costumes. Works great and I am still in the spirit of things.
