disney trivia again . . . please help

Hi everyone. I am writing the last section of my book, "True Confessions of a Neurotic, Disney Mom" but I am stuck on one thing. What do you call the thing that you temporarily park your car under while you are checking-in and checking-out? Ya know, the big roofed-canopy where the valets will unload your luggage and all that. What is that called? I am drawing a blank, and it is keeping me from finishing this monstrous story. Please help!

I always call it a Portico but Porte-cochere is the proper name.

Oh my lard! I have never heard that word in my life. It would have never come to me. I wouldn't have even imagined it.

Ya'll are so great! This is one of the reasons the Disboards are mentioned over and over in my story. What would I do without this community? You guys have my back. Thank you!

I'm so excited to be near the end of this book. It is 83 pages so far, and writing it has been a long process. If I didn't find this word, it would have held up my ending and driven me crazy. Thanks again! Love you guys!
