Disney Trips Surpised Almost Ruined.....But I looked Fabulous In My Eyeore PJs!

I am planning another surprise trip to the World for my daughter on July 10. She has no clue about this trip. However, Super Shuttle almost ruined it for me.

On Thursday, at 4:15 a.m. someone was giving my doorbell a true workout. Then the phone starts ringing. I answer the phone first. "Is this Ms. Steadman?" Yes, this is she! Your shuttle is waiting to take you to the airport please come out as soon as possible. What?! Understand that it is 4:15 a.m. I am still half-a-sleep! So I start panicking - OH!!! S**T!!! Did I forget we where supposed to leave today!!! So I my mind starts thinking okay hurry up and pack, shower, and call a cab because you are not going to make this Super Shuttle.

I run upstairs tell my daughter wake up and get in the shower. I still haven't told her why! Then I though wait a minute its June!

So I go back down stair - in my "Eyeore" pajamas and hair sticking straight up in the air. In my driveway right in front of the door is a van full of people! So I answer the door with my 4:20 a.m. look.

I answer the door could you please come back in 30 days! I explained to the driver and the gentlemen on the phone that the reservations was for July 10 not June 10th. The reservation agent book it with the wrong month. We had a good laugh! The drive complimented me on my "Eyeore" PJs. However, I had already woke my daughter up and told her to get in the shower. So I told her that I Super Shuttle had the wrong house and I thought I was late for work.

She brought the lie because it was 4:20 a.m. in the morning! So she happily went back to bed! Wheeeww!!!!! Still a secret for now!!!

Close one; I always like keeping it a secret as long as possible too, it would really tick me off if the secret got out, and it wasn't my fault for breaking down.

But HOW do you guys keep this a secret? I've been blabbering about this for almost a year now. My family thinks I've totally flipped out. My husband bet me I couldn't go ONE SINGLE DAY without mentioning the word Disney................he's won so far

Oh man that was the funniest story! Almost too good to be true. When I got to the best part I was eating haagen dazs *coffee icecream and it actually came spurting out my nose!

We too are keeping our trip a BIG SECRET from the kids. Every single day either my husband or I will slip up and the other will catch it and we fumble around trying to "fix" our words. Then we sneek into another room and try to stifle our snickering!!!!!
I can't stand it much longer!

The best part is that DH is in Orlando right now on a business trip and is in fact, staying on property. The children are just flabbergasted that DADDY, the man that they all ADORE, left them here at home and went TO DISNEY WORLD W-I-T-H-O-U-T- - T-H-E-M!!!!

They are all fit to be tied.

I really rubbed it in tonight and told them that I hoped daddy remembered to call the front desk and have Mickey call and wake him up tomorrow morning for his meeting! The 9 yr old burst into tears and ran up to bed without even giving me a kiss goodnight and the 6 yr old was right behind her! From the wailing coming out of that room, you would have thought the dog died!

I felt so bad I ran up the steps and tried to make it up to them. I told them that I was only kidding and that they only have Mickey call the rooms where children are staying. I apologized for teasing them because I am definitely not the teaser in the family. I just don't know what got into me!

What do you want to bet, though, that he DOES have a mickey wake up call tomorrow!?!
He loves that place!
