Disney Trip Withdrawal

I definitely get it. It's been almost 9 years since our last trip - our honeymoon - and I'm so ready to go again. So much so that we're braving a trip with two toddlers! I'm sure we'll have some rough moments but I am so ridiculously excited. And I really hope they love it.

It's the reason we spend time on these boards! I feel if I can help somebody on a trip, it's like being there. The imagination takes me there.

Anyone else find themselves going to Disney stores to get a fix too?!

We don't have a Disney Store in our city, but I enjoy scrolling through the disneystore.com site. We did get a little pixie dust this past weekend though when visiting the Disney Store in my home town. DS6 really really wanted a Planes Fire & Rescue backpack for our upcoming vacation, so I promised him we'd get one when visiting my mom. We only had time to go on Sunday morning, and the mall didn't open until 11am. Well, we of course got there at 10:45 and waited with excitment for them to open. When they opened the gates they had a red ribbon and a podium with a magical book at the front of the store. The two CMs told my son they needed his help to get the magic back into the store before it opened. He was really not that into it until they pulled out a child-sized Mickey socerer robe and hat. He got so excited when they put it on him. He then said some magic words and they dropped the ribbon and opened the store. They also gave him a cute Mickey medal. It was so great, and so unexpected!

I also hang out on these boards and obsess over my next trip in November! I can't wait!!!

Its been 4 years for us:

I drink my coffee out of my Disneyland mug every morning. I won't drink coffee in any other mug :)

I look at my photos with my son regularly.

I watch TONS of vids on youtube.

I watch the old movies from my child hood with my son as well… Costco actually had Duck Tales AND Tail Spin episodes on DVD!

Same here! I've got about 20 Disney mugs. And I only drink my tea out of them. My morning tea in particular has to be from my Minnie Mouse "mornings aren't pretty" mug. My DH thinks I'm nuts when he finds me washing that mug out early in the morning when I have 19 other acceptable Disney mugs!

I love those shows! I will have to check out my Costco to see if they have them as well!

And, I agree with looking at photos. Some of my favs are from my daughter's first trip to the Crystal Palace in MK. She was only a year and a half and she loved every minute. She was a little timid at first but you could see the wonder in her eyes the whole time. She even gave Minnie Mouse a kiss on the nose. SO sweet. :)

1 word: Youtube!

There's this one youtuber that regularly makes Disneyland vlogs. Not sure if we're allowed to promote other websites/people (if so, I apologize, mods, just delete my post :p) but their username is freshbakeddisney you should totally check them out! They upload a video pretty much once a day, very good for Disney withdrawals

:thumbsup2

I second fresh baked disney. His videos are very detailed and can brighten up a bad day at work. It seems like he goes to disneyland several times per week and posts great videos all the time.
