Hi all,
We are going to Disney World from Dec 22- Dec 29.
We are from California.
We are two families with four kids ages 6,5,2,1.
We are staying in Staybridge suites , have car rental and six day single park tickets.
I am wondering if somebody can help on :
1. How should we plan our itienary i.e which park first and which park later ?
2. Any tips for packing ?
3. Any advice on bookings for restuarants or any other places that we should take care now ?
Thanks for help.

I would suggest booking resturants NOW. I hope you find some that have openings! Good Luck! pixiedust:

I usually plan which parks at which times (we always get hoppers) by where we will be eating. And what we want to see...

As the above poster said....you should call dining & see what ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations) you can get at this point. You can book ADRs 6 months ahead of time (all of mine are already booked for my May 2007 trip).

Some recommendations for your group (breakfasts or dinners) are:
Chef Mickey's
Liberty Tree Tavern
1900 Park Fare
Whispering Canyon Cafe (in the Wilderness Lodge)
Crystal Palace

These will probably be booked up, but it's worth a try.

By the way, :welcome: to the Dis!!

1. Like another poster said you may want to see where you may be able to get ADR's at before you decide where you are going to go and when.
2. There are several threads on packing tips. I personal PACK EVERYTHING! With 4 kids you are going to need to do laundry...I always take my powder detergent and measure out 10 loads worth and put them in single baggies...and take dryer sheets. It is cheaper than paying for it there and you know what you are getting. I also make sure to pack my ADR confirmation #'s, a mini medicaine cabnet...bandaids, tylenol, any Rx's you may have/need, and I start packing oooo, 6 months ahead of time so you better hurry!
3. YIKES!!! You don't have any ADR's? My suggestion would be to call and just ask the CM what if anything they have avilable these days. If nothing is avalible, you may want to sit down with a guidebook and figure out several CS places at the different parks and try to eat at off times when the crowds are not as bad. Our personal experience is to just eat more of a brunch and beat the crowds both ways in the morning and in the evening you need to plan ahead a little more!
Have a fun and exciting time! I have never been over the Holidays but plan to do so one day!

Yay! A trip to WDW! I always reccommend to people planning a multi-day stay to begin and end with the Magic Kingdom. What you do inbetween is up to you. You can pretty much do Animal Kingdom in a day, but the rest of the parks will probably take more time. Make a plan ahead of time as to what you want to see at each park, and make a list in priority order. I would also say you will want to do a little research on the counter service restaurants in each park, because it is most likely way too late to make reservations at the restaurants (although you may get a Christmas miracle and find some open now!).

As for packing... pack everything. Be prepared for any kind of weather. It's warm now, but will get cool this weekend, and it's supposed to rain. Buy ponchos ahead of time, because they're expensive in the parks. Bring any medicine you might need (Tylenol, Band Aids, sunblock, etc.), because you will NOT want to have to get this stuff inside the park. Bring hats for the sun and light jackets for when it cools off at night. Bring the most comfortable pair of shoes you own. If you think you might need it, bring it.

That ought to do it... have a great time!
