Hi all!
So with only 1 day at DL, there is not enough time to eat all the yumminess that my daughter and i want. How many of the classic Disneyland treats and foods are available to find in Downtown Disney? We will arrive in the early afternoon the first day, so we have plenty of time to stroll downtown and find some good snacks and dinner. Also, we will love seeing the 60th anniversary foods too!

Can you get the dole whips anywhere? Churros? Mint julep and Mickey Beignets? The treats from the shop near winnie the pooh? Caramel apples, etc?

Any and all can't-be-missed Disney food that is outside the park?

Wish we would make this a longer visit! So much tastiness, so little time!

Becky

There are churros in Downtown Disney, last time I was there (not from a Disney cart though, independent company I think). You can get beignets at the Jazz Kitchen (express or otherwise) but I do not believe they are Mickey shaped. While I have not been in there, Marceline's Confectionary should have a lot of Disney park treats like Caramel Apples.

There may be some prepackaged treats in the onsite shops in the Disney Hotels.

Marceline's Confectionery has a lot of the treats that are served in the parks- the caramel and chocolate covered apples, cake pops, etc.

Unfortunately, Dole Whip, Mint Julep and Mickey Beignets are only available inside the parks. Disney churros are also only available inside the parks, but there is a third-party stand in DTD that sells churros. Likewise, the Jazz Kitchen and Jazz Kitchen Express both have mint juleps and beignets on their menus (they're fairly different from the ones in the park).

You can get a lot of the same treats from Pooh's Corner at Marceline's Confectionery in DTD. They have caramel apples (and a show kitchen to see them being made) and other goodies. They do not (at least not that I recall) have Tigger Tails.

Ok, thanks for the info. It helps us plan our trip out. Sounds like we have a lot of eating to do! ha ha

Hi,

like the posts quoted above, I would also recommend Marceline's Confectionery. They have wonderful treats in that shop. I would highly reccomend a rice crispy from that store. They have rice crispy treats in different fun Disney shapes like carriages and turkey legs. The World of Disney Store is another place I would look for disneyland treats that are sold in packages or boxes . Have fun.

Marceline's Confectionary as mentioned will have a good amount of treats needed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The churro stand sells multiple flavors!
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Strawberry cream
  • Apple cinnamon
  • Salted caramel
  • Pina Colada
  • Churro ice cream sandwich
I've only tried the churro ice cream sandwich, but will be back to try the rest.
