we are going to be at WDW during Grad nights and I've heard the roads are extremely crowded. We have ADR at Chef Mickey's for 7:30 and were thinking of driving to TTC and then monorail to CR. Now I am wondering if it would be better to take the bus to MK and then make our way over. Do Disney buses have special roads? Or do they use the same as we would?

Disney buses use the same roads. They do have special pick up areas at all the parks.

You may find that taking the bus to MK and the walking to CR is a better idea. Just leave enough time. You should plan on being at your resort bus stop by 6:30, which will give you plenty of time....maybe make you early but that's okay too. Just amble on over to the CR via the pathway from MK and enjoy the views.
If you drive, you will have to find a spot to park and it most likely won't be too close to the tram area. Then you'll have to take the tram, then wait for either the ferry to the MK or the monorail (resort line). That monorail loop will take you close to 20-25 mins in itself!
I much prefer the bus right to MK and the 8 min walk to the CR.

I will definitely leave hotel with enough time to get there. I was told that traffic will be insane near the MK because of all the buses for Grad night.

Thanks for your help.
