I will be staying at CBR with a 2 yr old later this week. Are Disney buses to other resorts and the theme parks crowded during the morning and evening hours ? How long is the wait and how much time should we expect from CBR to MK ? Will renting a car instead save me considerable time or hassle ?

THey can be very crowded at park opening and closing times. The wait can be up to twenty minutes each way. Still, it's quicker than renting a car. For that you have to drive to the TTC, unlaod, wait for a tram to take you to the monorail or ferry. That's longer than the twenty minutes wait time for the bus (worst case scenario--it's usually closer to ten) and ten minute ride to the park.

For some parks a car is a time saver, but for the MK, it's a major hassle.

I just got back from CBR and thought the buses ran great. Of course, attendance was down, but we rarely had a problem. The only problem we had was trying to get from Polynesian to CBR one night where it took 2 hours because of bad advice given from a trans worker at Poly. She ran us to Downtown Disny and than a bus to CBR. That particular night, they had very few buses running. We have 2 kids and kids loved the buses and the drivers were great with the kids.

went to magic Kingdom 3 days and each was about a 20 min ride but you get let off right at gate. if you are staying at Jamaica or Aruba at CBR you will be let off at resort first from parks. Although they varied the path twice on us). I agree with previous post on parking, and taking ferry, it would add time and possible aggrevation. IMHO

Disnee Dad Says................................................ We used the WDW transportation system extensively on our last two trips, and thought it was great. In all honesty I would say our findings were: less than 5 minutes 30%, less than 10 minutes 70%, less than 15 minutes 95%. One night on our second trip we decided to stay at MK to the very end. When we got to the bus stop there was maybe 250-300 people in line!! Oh great I think, we gotta wait a least an hour. Two minutes later a bus shows up, and big deal I think, it was probably due anyways. Five minutes later two more buses show up!! I'm thinking this won't be that bad after all, when in less than five minutes two more buses showed up !! We were out of the park in 15 minutes!!!
