Forgive me for not posting in the correct forum, but I cannot figure out how to post -- I only see an option to reply, not post a question. This is my first day here

Anyway, my question is this: We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and have to be at MK at 8:15 a.m. on 9/1 for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Will the boats at FW be running in time? I have a car, should I just drive to TTC?

Most all transportation start running about one hour before park opening. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/transportation/park-bus-hours/

Sorry, but that "One hour before..." is an often-repeated myth.

Better info:
The buses begin running from the resorts at about 6:30AM every day.

If you need to get to a park even before the boats are running, there will be buses provided.

Thank you for your input ... and thanks for moving it to the proper place. I am just becoming familiar with the forums and could not figure out for the life of me how to ask a question in the proper forum.

One more question, given the option, would you rather take the bus to MK for an 8:15 arrival time or drive? If driving, would I drive to the TTC and take the resort monorail?

Thanks again for your help!!

Take the bus.

Take the boat to the Contemporary and then walk to the Magic Kingdom or take the Monorail. Do NOT take the bus. It would require multiple transfers. The boat to the contemporary and wilderness lodge begins running at 6:55 a.m. every day.

:thumbsup2This^^^ and I'm not sure there is a bus from FW to MK, there is one from WL to MK. Driving would take longer because from FW you will have to circle around past the Poly then back through the main gate to get to the TTC.

I made ress at the rainforest cafe in ak at 4:15pm and the park closes at 5pm. Do the buses still run after park closing. We took an early ress for dinner so we could go to Hs later to see the Osborne Christmas lights. Would they have a bus going to Hs or should I take the bus to the bc then take the boat to Hs?

They will run buses until there are not guests remaining at the restaurant. We got a bus back to our resort about 2.5 hrs after AK closed. They may have buses running to DHS when you get done eating..if they don't, just take the bus to BW and either walk or boat to DHS. The walk is shorter from BW, but the boat ride is shorter by about 4 mins from BC.

Wow, four mins:rotfl2: you have that nailed down to a tee. I had ress at whispering canyon cafe at 5:30pm that day but seems to be to many complaints about the food and would hate to waste a ts credit if my son or mother won't eat half the food. The noise level I'm sure is the same but iv never eatten at the rainforest cafe and at least we can choose what we want.

Nah, I just spend a lot of time at BWV! I tend to walk more often than take the boat. The boat route is Epcot, BW, YC/BC, S/D and then to DHS. The ride from BW to YC/BC is about 4 mins or so.
