With all the various means of transportation, busses, monorail, ferries and some walking paths, it can get confusing on what is the best way from one location to another. Does anyone know if Disney offers a guide on all the different ways to go from point A to point B?

For example, I was just looking at how to get from EPCOT to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Marina. I understand that you can walk out the International Gateway along a path to the marina. But looking at the map, they appear to have a ferry from the Yacht Club to EPCOT. Where does one catch this ferry at EPCOT? I have no clue! But knowing that there is typically more than one way to traverse from point A to point B, it would be helpful to know before hand what modes of transportation are available. This would help you make an informed choice.

So back to my original question, is there a guide somewhere which will assist in understanding the many different ways to move around Walt Disney World?

Thanks

WDW used to print a fold out Transportation Map, however, this is out of print and has been for a number of years. If you obtain a copy, it is most definitely out of date considering present transportation routes.

The laughing place link is out of date too, but is a very useful general guide.

When in doubt, ask a bus driver. They were very helpful our last trip! :)

As you exit the 'rear door' of Epcot aka the International Gateway, you will see a boat dock to your left. You can board a boat there that will take you to the YC/BC, S/D and BW then on to MGM. On the other hand, if you just keep walking straight, you will pass the BC on your right, and then a bit further down the YC. If, as you walk up the hill, you turn left, over the bridge, you will go to BW. Both directions will take you to the S/D.
Yes, there are many options for getting from point A to point B, at least in many situations. But, sometimes you can get to your destination faster by walking vs transporatation options. It all depends on how you want to travel.
The laughing place site is good as far as generalized stuff goes. But, there have been instances where outdated info is given out. So....your best bet?
Ask here....we can get you from A to B, and give you options as well.

Actually, it still exists. And it's given to EVERY guest who checks into a Walt Disney World Resort.

It's located in the Recreating, Shopping, Dining, and Transportation Booklet.
