Disney Transportation from Airport

Our flight arrives in Orlando at 9:45 am on the day of sailing. We have arranged Disney transportation from the airport.

What time should we expect to arrive at the port? Will we be able to catch a bus soon after we land in Orlando? I am trying to decide whether we should consider other transportation options, such as a limo service. (there are two adults/two children).

If we arrange our own transportation, we have to consider the time (and hassle) spent getting our luggage from the baggage claim, whereas with Disney transportation, we don't have to contend with our luggage at all.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

The last time we went, it was probably just about a half-hour from the time we stepped off the plane until the time we stepped onto the bus. The greeters (and how cool of a job would THAT be?) generally tend to round up a couple of groups before heading down to the bus area. So you've got some time to use the facilities and grab a beverage.

And then what? About an hour to the port? So we would be there by noon or so? Thanks!

Yup. Depending on traffic and weather, it's generally between an hour and an hour twenty.

If you're landing at 9:45, you should get there about noon, I would think.

Great, thanks for that information.

I still don't know what we should do. I think it would work out about the same time-wise if we got private transportation. We have REAS so we won't be trying to make Palo or spa reservations, but I also want to avoid long lines by arriving at the peak of check-in.

We rented a car at the airport and left it at the port ($10/day). Cheaper than disney transfers, which were almost $400 Canadian for 4 people. But we stayed at Disney for 3 days first so don't know how much it is only from the airport to the terminal. From getting off the plane, getting our luggage and getting into the car (with a 5 minute wait while they found boosters for us) it was about 45 minutes before we left the airport. It took dh about 10 minutes to drop us at the terminal with our bags (handlers took them inside for us) and drop the car off and cross back to us. Very convenient and very easy. Drive to terminal straight-forward. Only problem was finding somewhere to buy water/beer before we found the terminal. Hope that helps!

What does Disney charge for transport from mco to the port, port to WDW, and then from WDW to MCO? Just trying to figure out if car rental is cheaper. We have 6 people, and 2 of them are kids under 5.

Hi there, don't know what it is in US dollars, but it was $92 Canadian each (for kids too) when we booked last year. And the car (a full-size with 2 boosters) was $160 plus $30 in gas plus $40 for the port charges. And we never waited for a bus, got to eat and shop in Orlando instead of being forced to eat at Disney all the time. Not that the food at Disney wasn't good, but Orlando is way cheaper and it was nice to drive around. Well worth it.

Going on land/sea March 3-10. We found it cheaper to rent a car for the whole time ( including the $10 a day at the port terminal ). Perhaps an option to consider? Have a great trip!!!!!!!

We already have a car rented for our November cruise! We will pick up our Budget car rental($25 mid size), drive to Cape Canaveral Budget and drop it off! There, they will shuttle us to the port(2-3 miles)! We will do the same when we leave the ship and go to the airport!
