We will be staying off site and have a park hopper . What transportation will we be able to utilize? I know the monorail (and ferry ?) goes from MK to EPCOT, but is there anything else available? Is there any way to hop over to MGM or AK from another park without driving? Thanks everyone!!!!

Sure, you can use all of the Disney transportation just like a resort guest. They may have some rule about it being for resort guests only but, I have never had them check when I have used the buses. So, the answer is yes, you can hope on a bus and go from park to park to hotel to hotel to Downtown Disney if you like.

Just remember where you parked your car!!

It's bad enought to not remember where in the parking lot your car is but, to not remember which park you parked at to begin with... (I've actually done that before!)

Off-site guests may visit any resort, Downtown Disney, or theme-park via the Disney transportation system.

You can ride any bus, boat, tram or monorail that you like.

FOR INSTANCE:
From MK, to go to MGM or AK you'd take the monorail back to TTC (MK Parking) and follow the signs to the BUS transportation area and get on a bus marked for your destination.

The return would be to find the bus marked for MK.

There are buses to MGM and AK from EPCOT, MGM and AK. Not sure about MK. You might have to take the monorail or ferry to the TTC and then take the bus. In any case, you shouldn't need to drive anywhere.

But you may find it quicker to drive if you have access to a car especially if you have to use two modes of transport including the bus which can take a long time

You can use WDW transportation to get from one place to another, but if you are driving and parking, remember that you only pay for parking ONCE a day. If you drive to another park, just show your receipt to the lot attendendent and you will be waived in - no charge. It may be nice to take the monorail between MK and Epcot, but it's a whole lot easier to move your car if you plan to visit MGM or AK.

Thank you everyone! Didn't know that about the parking reciept. Glad to hear it.

Also, from MGM you can take the boat to Epcot or do the reverse - take the boat from the International Gateway in Epcot to MGM.
