My daughter loves trading pins just for the fun of it. We have been buying pins off of ebay and really haven't had trouble thus far however, does anyone know how we good buy the pins directly from Disney eliminating the middle man. If we are able to buy the pins for about $2 surely they are making money (which is fine) but could we do better while assuring my daughter safe pins for trading.

Any ideas/information you have would be greatly appreciated

DisneyShopping.com is having their Pin Sale. Today is the last day. I believe there is also free shipping. I got 2 Stitch pins :stitch2: for DH for $13.

I doubt that you will be able to buy pins from Disney Cheaper than you can get them online on eBay.
I have never seen Disney sell a pin for $2.00

Agreed. I love eBay for buying the pins. In fact, I just received 36 pins from a seller for $85 (incl. shipping). That's about $2.36 per pin. There were several Christmas pins which I really needed. The pins are for my DD10's advent calendar. It sure beats going to WallyWorld and picking up junk to put in the little bags. She'll LOVE getting a new pin for every day of the month in Dec.! They sent several from the Disney Store and WDW. All but 3 were in their original packaging or on those black hang cards and there were only 3 duplicates (which is great for trading in the parks!). Great deal, I think.

I've been buying pins from ebay as well. The person I get them from- charges $98 for 50 pins and then like $4.60 for shipping. I've never gotten bad/sedsema pins from him. Always good ones like cast lanyard pins and other hard to finds. My kids love to trade 'em! I figure it's easier to spend $100 on 50 pins than it is to go to the parks and pay $3+ per pin. This way they can keep the ones they like from ebay and trade the rest for ones they want.

I agree with the above 2 posts.
Then you take the pins you don't need or like and trade them with cast members for the Cast Pins.

i agree with the others posting about ebay. i haven't bought pins from there yet, but will be in the near future to start my dd4 pin trading collection

You get your best deals buying lots on e-bay. When I purchase off of e-bay, I make sure that the lot shows what I am getting not you MAY get some of these, I make sure that they state they are official Disney pins and not Sedesma, scrappers etc, and read feedback on similar items like the one I wish to purchase. Good luck. :surfweb:
