I've notice an age limit on almost all of the tours of at least 16 some 13.

If you want to take an 8 year old with you as lond as accompanied by an adult can they go?

I can understand the segway tour with a age restrication but alot of the others don't make sense.

Any info would be a big help.

If there is an age limit than no you can not take anyone under that age even with an adult.

Some of the tours take you behind the "MAGIC".

I am pretty sure you must be 16 to go at all. I think the main reasoning behind this is the "magic". Some of the tours really go behind the scenes, to places people really aren't supposed to see. Disney believes that this would ruin the magic of the parks if children too young see this stuff. I mean on the Keys you go behind the parks and see where the trash is processed and the floats are kept, plus you go in the tunnels. A character could be walking around down there with the body on and the head off. We went on the Keys to the Kingdom and the Train Tour last year. I know there weren't kids on the Keys, but there may have been on the train, I can't remember. Both were great and I would recommend them!

It's about the "magic" and it's about the fact that many of these tours are extensive walking tours and I'm sure they don't want to risk the "whiny" kid or a similar situation.

What about the Family Magic Tour where you can all go?

The Seas Aqua tour at Epcot allows 8 year olds, when accompanied by an adult.

Behind the Magic of Steam Trains allows kids over age 10.

I don't know about Family Magic.

They are also flexible on Mickey's Magical Milestones. I would recommend really thinking about your child and if they can handle it, in respect to other guests. I would also be prepared to flee the tour if the child was ok.
