We are not getting married at Disney World, but love Disney and we're going there for our honeymoon. We wanted to do some subtle Disney touches at our wedding.

We have a Mickey and Minnie cake topper......we were thinking of maybe naming the tables after different Disney songs and playing the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings CD during dinner.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

TIA!

Those are great ideas! It would be cute to put hidden Mickey's in the table centerpieces or in your bouquet. You could do Cinderella carriages or glass slippers for favors or some other Disney character themed favor.

Best Wishes :goodvibes

See if you can find "Mickey Litter" (Mickey head shaped confetti) to spread around the tables if it won't clash with your color scheme.

Maybe you can get the bride and groom ears and wear them sometime during the reception...

You could also have your baker put hidden mickey's in your cake. For our at home reception we had the cake decorated with dots all around in the shape of mickeys. So it's subtle but deffinatly there. Ok I just got a pic up and running so here you go. I hope this gives you an idea of what I mean it's not the best of pics.

My Fiance and I are in the same boat. We absolutely adore Disney. Our invitations have Mickey and Minnie on them... got the cake topper... got the bride/groom ears for the rehearsal... and I'm going to walk down the aisle to "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes." :cloud9:

For our decorations, we've taken on many things... to our disappointment, there just wasn't very much online for a mickey/minnie themed wedding.

Our centerpieces are 10" glass pyramid candle holders. We etched Mickey heads around them, and will be placing 6" red pillar candles inside (our colors are red and white). The candle holders will sit on large mirrors which will have scattered Mickey heads that we've punched (with a 1 1/2 in Mickey Head paper punch) in red vellum and in wallet-sized pictures of us together or when we were little. Hopefully, the pictures will provide some extra entertainment/conversation at the tables! You can order photo confetti online... but our venue didn't allow it, which is why we're doing extra-large paper punches.

As our ceremony is outside and my dress has quite a train on it, I've decided that I MUST have an aisle runner. Unfortunately, I couldn't find ANY aisle runners that were not transparent lacy material (I can't see that being outside). Anyway... some crazy part of me decided to make a runner myself... so I've been working with 11 yds of white canvas! I'm in the process of painting it now. When I'll walk down the aisle :bride: (or when anyone is facing the "altar" outside), you can read "Once upon a time"... and when we leave, you can read "And they lived happily ever after..." It's taking longer than I expected, but I'm quite pleased!

I hope this helps! If you have any questions about these ideas or want pictures, I'd be happy to take pictures for you!

I love these ideas.

Maybe you could possibly order a set of the mickey unity candles through Disney floral. :thumbsup2

I had previously posted this as disney themed wedding. My wedding was definately all disney. Enjoy!!

I'll try post most of the disney that I incorporated into my boston wedding. We were going to get married at WDW, but most of my family would not have been able to make it...instead we are working on renewing our vows at wdw in a few years.
I did do Cinderella invites, etc.
My cake topper was cinderella and the prince dancing from disney classics collection.
Instead of table numbers, they were disney movie names...head table was of course cinderella. We actually incoportated some of the names into some of the people at the table. AUnt huge snow white fan, so we named her table that. Family friend tha is a huge joker, so I put him at the tarzan table and picked up a leopard print pair of male undies at frederics of hollywood and slide it on his chair during the reception...the pictures of his face once he opened the gift bag are pricesless!!
We did cinderella skating rinks/music boxes for centerpieces..;instead of flowers.
We also had a trivia game for the centerpiece, so that a true disney fan would get it (and appreciate it). We put paper and enough pens on all the tables. I enlisted the help of my bridal party for this, each got 1 or 2 tables to watch. The 1st person to correctly list the 7 dwarfs, won the centerpiece.
We, also, had an accapella group sing..and our dj told them it was a disney themed wedding, so they wore mickey vests..it was a great surprise from my dj to me :0)
We had a pooh bear ice sculpture (my fav..a gift from my dad to me).
Cinderella wine gobblets & cake cutter.
We were introuduced, wedding party etc to the mickey mouse march. We danced to when you wish upon a star for our last dance.

Our dj did the "Cort & DH, you just got married. What are you going to do now?" in order to make us yell "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!" It was fun. That was really all we did I think, other than use some songs.

I would make a Disney themed Card box..You could use mickey and minnie or Cinderella and Prince charming (I think the latter is easier to find)

These are really nice and differnt than the tradition well or mailbox..

We had M+M wedding invites/thank you cards, m+m Cake Server set, m+m Ring bearer pillow, M+M cake topper, Hidden Mickey made of pins holding ribbon to my flowers. we wore m+m ears to reception. had mickey bowls for our m+m's and nut mix at tables. gave wedding party t shirts with disney characters and our names/wedding date on them.
