Disney tossed another 25% discount to Canadians!

We are on the Manitoba - Ontario borders, do you suppose I could get by with crossing to pick up the discount and then drive home :tiptoe: after all, they drive down get a lottery ticket and drive back - Where are the Minnesota discounts, EVER

so annoying...what about those of use who live in other parts of the world...
those of us who have to pay a fortune just to get ourselves to the US to get on a disney ship...
no discount for us?

Yes, I was hoping they would throw out some European discounts for the European cruises that were not selling so well...

When they first started doing Mediterranean cruises they did offer discounts to guests from Europe. Would be nice if they did that again but once again they treat us like the poor relations (no discounts, no magnets) :(

Same for us in the USA. Not counting Florida.

Thanks for sharing! :)
These have been being offered on the DCL Facebook page for about a month now via the same link. It's great that Disney is making it possible to travel even with our poor old dollar...

The Canadian dollar closed on Friday at 76 cents. That means every Canadian dollar is only worth 76 U.S. cents. Or, every $1000 Canadian only yields $760 U.S. and that's without the FX markups. So, I guess Disney is looking at the 33 million people who are maybe making other choices this year for vacations.

As for whether you can cross the border and buy your tickets, I can't speak for the cruises, but the WDW park tickets that went on sale for Canadians require a passport or other proof of residency before they will release the tickets to you. So they're being pretty particular about it.

I know it sucks for Americans to see that kind of a discount, but Canadians are seeing our prices on everything going through the roof, right now. I guess Disney doesn't want to be the thing Canadians decide they can do without.

Well said @FigmentSpark and let's not forget that that is the POSTED exchange rate, there's no way we can actually get that at a bank or foreign currency exchange plus the extra 1.25% foreign transaction fee that our credit cards tack on as well makes it even more $$

We noticed that the price of gas at the pumps jumped 10 cents overnight due to the leak in the south ... and our *dollar stores*?? The only one that has consistent prices is DollarTree and even then it's $1.25.
