Looks like DD7 may possibly have a kidney infection or something. We thought it was a small yeast infection & treated it. Now, she still complains of itching & it hurts when you push on her back near one of her kidneys. Oh fun times!

Wow, hope this is nothing too serious and that DD is okay. Murphy's Law when this stuff crops up right before vacation. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is something that antibiotics or other meds can knock out and still allow you to go and enjoy your trip tomorrow.

I see you're going to SSR for the 1st time.
We jut got back last Sunday from our 1st trip home to SSR.
We spent 7 nights there & loved it !!

On the day we left for SSR...DH broke his big toe!!
Ohhhh!!

Well....the Urgent Care center is closed today for the holiday weekend. So, we ended up not going to the doctor. DH thinks that DD is simply not drinking enough liquids & that's a big factor in her problems. (Pretty much, I'm noticing a strong urine smell from her, which DH says is due to the concentration level b/c of lack of liquids. This would also cause itching & some irritation.) At any rate, I'm pumping her full of water today & I bought cranberry juice that she's going to have to drink on the trip. Hopefully all will go well!

(Honestly, I probably wouldn't worry about it if it had happened at any other time. I think it's mainly me stressing out that something will go wrong on vacation.)

I think you're doing the right thing (in case you care what I think. :lol) Just make sure you get a list to pack of medical facilities in the area. Just in case...

Actually, I really do care! I was afraid I'd have people telling me what a terrible parent I am for not rushing her to the ER. Of course, since I'm the one who is noticing problems (she has only complained once about it itching), then I'm sure it's my pre-vacation panic time . I've also taken her temperature at least 5 times today for no good reason. I know, I know...I'm a dork. I can't help it!

Hope DD feels better. Lots of fluids will help.
My DS had an earache that wouldn't clear before our trip. We had gone in twice for shots of antibiotics. At 4:30 p.m. the day before our trip we were in again for the final 'he's good to fly' from the pediatrician. Thank goodness we were able to go, but talk about pushing it. Luckily DS was fine - how could anything hurt when we were at WDW!
