Disney to Universal for the day?

If we stay on Disney property what is the best way to get to Universal for the day? There could be about 7 of us and a baby.

I would rent a minivan for the day. Your other options are:

Mears Shuttle (I think its about $20/pp roundtrip)
Taxi (several years ago it ran us about $30 each way, but we all fit in one car)
Lynx Bus - its really cheap, but it will take you some time to get there and you have to change buses.

Hmmm- this could get expensive. I really want to see the Harry Potter attraction though.

Why do you think Disney is so eager to pick you up at the airport? At one time they even wanted to run a monorail out there but that idea got shot down. WDW loves nothing better than a captive audience where they can monopolize every vacation dollar you have.

A monorail at the airport? I have to say, i think that would be kind of cool except for the fact if you were staying at hotel without a stop.

Hello,

I am trying to figure out the least expensive way to get the US/IOA from Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge for 7 people. I think that Happy Limo is $97 round trip for a van transport, which is a little less expensive than Mears for 7 people. I have not priced renting a van for a day. I have read about taking the two buses but am not sure I want to do that.
