Disney Timeshares for Private Rental?

Does anyone know how you would get connected with disney property timeshare owners that would like to rent their timeshare. I am thinking there must be people out there that own disney timeshares that are not useing them and would want to rent them? I heard if you rent from an owner privately you still get all the "perks" as if you were the actual owner, for example, you can get the dining package, early open hours, late open hours.....

Yes you can, right here on the Dis. Just go to DIS Discussion Forums at the top and then scroll down until you see Disney Vacation Club Forums. There are a few forums for them and one of which is renting DVC points. I've looked into this for us, but am trying to convince my DH to do it, but he knows me so well that once I try out a DVC then it will be a matter of time that we too will be DVC members.

See the DVC Rent/Trade Board right here on the DIS. Be sure that you read all the FAQs at the top of the page, so that you understand the rental process and how it's different from booking a room through Disney.

Just a side note....as a renter, you get all the perks that any Disney resort guest gets, except for daily housekeeping. This includes access to EMH, Magical Express, DDP, etc. You don't get the DVC member perks.
