Disney Tickets Question

Sorry if this post is confusing. I am wondering if anyone knows if we book a free dining pkg. once it is offered, would we be able to save the ticket portion of the package for use another time? If so does the ticket expire? Are your park days on your room key or will they issue a ticket for anyone who has done this before?
The reason I am asking is I would like to use the Give a Day ticket and upgrade to a multi-day ticket for this trip. Then use the package ticket another year. Not sure if this is possible. TIA.

The ticket never expires if it's not used. You can ask at your resort to have your tickets removed from the KTTW card and put on separate ticket media.

Yes, we have saved out tickets.

About the give a day tickets..we can upgrade those? Do you know if we can turn them into park hoppers? I didn't realize they could be upgraded.

I think you have to pay extra for non expiring tickets.

No, UNUSED tickets never expire. You do not have to purchase NE tickets for what the OP is asking.

If you USE the ticket partially, then you have to add NE if you want to use them in the future (beyond the initial 14 days).

Vicki C is absolutely correct. We were told that by a Disney Resort CM last August. And we double checked with the supervisor who confirmed it. They said a 1 day ticket would not expire because it was never used. So we saved them and will up grade this year.

Yes, you may upgrade the free ticket to another ticket type of greater value within the applicable upgrade window. However, you are responsible for the incremental cost and the new ticket may only be used by you. No changes or refunds will be given. The value of the free ticket may not be used to combine or upgrade with a separate single or multi-day ticket.

Thanks, I found the info on upgrading. Guess we'll pick one park and stay there. A bit pricey to add park hoping for one day.
