Disney Ticket Question-Extra Magic Hours & Water Parks

We are staying at the Swan one night and then at Windsor Hills for a week.

If I buy my park tickets at the Swan will they include the EMH feature? I was just wondering how this works. Also, I have never attended an EMH in 3 previous visits, and I probably wouldn't this time and am not trying to cheat the system. Obviously, I would have EMH access the first day I am at the Swan, but then does the ticket change to not have EMH access?

Anyone know any specifics about how the tickets work? More curious than anything.

Also, if I buy a one day water park ticket, can I use the value of that to apply to a water park and more option if I decide to go more than one day to the water parks? I was thinking I could do that in the past, but I can't remember for sure.

Extra Magic Hours depends on the resort and is not related to the ticket. You use any valid ticket to enter the park and you show your room key valid the night before and/or the night after to enjoy rides and attractions during evening EMH. For morning EMH you need to show the room key, possibly at the monorail station prior to reaching the park, before you can enter (or proceed towards) the park.

Yes, you can take one Magic Your Way park ticket, one spent water park ticket, and about ten dollars and come away with one MYW ticket with the same remaining theme park days and with water park fun (with one of the water park visits consumed). (Neither ticket may have undergone usage more than 13 days ago.)
