Hello everyone! I was hoping to get some ideas (from all of the Disney experts) for disney themed pet names. I was hoping to maybe get some name ideas that aren't named after characters but could be named after anything in "the world ". Someone suggested the name Kona, after the Kona cafe and I would love some more ideas for male and female names. Thanks in advance!

We have several dogs with Disney themed names, well one is actually named Disney ! Our 15 y/o Pointer is named Fantasia and 2 other Pointers that are sisters are named Lily and Belle for the train ( Lilly Belle ) that is named for Walt Disney's wife Lillian.

Our dog is named Kona. I had an entire list of Disney names (that weren't obviously Disney) when we got our dog, but I don't remember any of them. I did a search on the boards for Disney pet names and found a lot of threads just like this one where I compiled my list. Good luck!!

Lily Belle is cute!

We adopted two cats in December after we unexpectledy lost our cat Wishes (his picture is my avatar). We named them Jiko and Kona.

Our current dog is called Pascal. The name is one of the characters in Tangled. He was not named after that. He is part poodle so my husband wanted a French name and we have both taught math for over 35 years. He was named after the French mathematician Blaise Pascal as in Pascal's Triangle. One of my students mentioned the Disney connection.

So is this for a dog, or a cat, or something else, that you may be getting JRennie ? That may make a difference.

Ahh well that's a good question. Ooops! It will be for a female Australian shepherd pup.

I personally couldn't handle the breed BUT considering what I do know about them , " Australian Shepherds are easy-going, remaining puppy-like even in their adult years. This courageous dog makes a good watchdog for the home. Aussies are excellent with children, even with an active child, as they love to play. They are devoted, loyal friends and guardians, for they are naturally protective. " ( swiped off the internet )

I would name her " Nana " ( yes I know it's not the same breed as in Peter Pan ) but I immediately thought that when you posted the breed.

Please consider "thinking outside the box." We were looking for a name for a new kitten in 2006, and while searching through a Disney book with various stories, we saw the section on Sleeping Beauty and the reference to "thistles and briars." After a brief consideration of Briar, we went with Thistle.:earsboy:

Female Australian Shepherd? Isn't Tinker Bell obvious? lol all kidding aside such a respected , smart and strong breed. I was thinking maybe Anastasia ( as in the Tre'Maine sisters) but maybe not such a good match.
Fantasia?
