In my downtime, I like to brew a little craft beer, and I was thinking of brewing up a Disney-themed batch or two. That leads me to a challenge for all of you -- help me come up with some ideas to try.
It would be easy to just slap a Disney character's name on a generic beer and be done with it -- think Donald's Dark Ale or Lion King Lager -- but there's no creativity in that. What I'd prefer to do is brew something where the style and flavor profile actually bears some relationship to the character, attraction, etc. associated with it.
For example, Snow Weissbier might be a good fit because Snow White is based upon a German fairy tale, Weissbeer literally means "White Beer," and it's a fairly mild, light and delicate style (at least as compared to other German brews).
Another idea might be to do a Pocahontas Pumpkin Spiced Ale. Pumpkin, and really all squash, plays a prominent role in Native American cuisine, and she's certainly got the moxie to deserve a little spice in a beer named after her. Also, pumpkin beer is awesome, so it would have that going for it.
Anyway, just spitballing ideas, there's certainly plenty more that can be done here. What do you all say? Anyone got any good ideas?
