Could someone please give me some ideas on how to decorate my two little boys bedroom in Disney. They are 2 1/2 & 3 1/2. If you have any pictures that would be great too. Thanks

Check out the mickey head paint chips in the paint dept at Home Depot. They have idea booklets on using the paint colors for a Buzz room, etc. They also have stencils, borders and wall appliques as well. Target has pirate and Cars bedding. Post pics when your are done!!

Our Walmart has a lot of Car and POC stuff. I would check into places like Hobby Lobby also, you might be able to find some stencils that would make their room more unique

They have Mickey Mouse wallpaper border at Home Depot, and at BirthdayExpress.com they have the Mickey and friends wall stickups if you want Mickey Mouse (we are doing our bathroom in MMouse). Otherwise, go with Buzz or Cars because there is a lot more of that out there, especially at Wal-Mart. :)

I saw Mickey wallborder at Walmart recently. I bet you could find Mickey bedding on ebay. Or you could buy bedding in red and add black accents. That way if they decide later they want a different theme they have a neutral bedidng.

If you are looking for something different, you could do a HIDDEN MICKEY room! You could make it really cute and the kids will grow into it! My kids are 3.5 and 6 and SO into hidden mickey. They find mickey everywhere even here at home.
Walmart just had tshirts that say where did mickey go? with mickey on the front. The whole shirt appears to be camo, but the whole thing is all hidden mickey shapes. It is so cute.

Thanks so much for the help. The hidden mickey idea sounds so great. Please keep giving more ideas. Thanks

We haven't done any character type themes to the kids rooms, but DS, now 15, loves AK, AKL and animals in general. So...about 5 years ago we decorated his room in an African Safari type of theme using the masks, necklaces, walking sticks and other souvenirs that we purchased from Andrew Mutiso at the woodcarver station in Epcot (and some stuff at AKL shop). We also got animal print bedding/pillows and he has a tree and carved screen in his room. I loved doing it because I knew it was not something he would outgrow anytime soon and this is probably the longest we have gone without having to redecorate. He still is not tired of it. :cool1:

I was at rooms to go kids last night and not only did I get to see the pirate boat bed (lol) but they had the coolest Mickey stuff, desk, chair, rugs you name it they had it with mickey on it, (my 9 yo DD had to literally pull my arm so I would leave lol) then they had a need bunk bed with winnie the pooh, the top was like a fort and it had a slide attached. I am going again today to purchase a loft bed that looks like a castle hehehehe

I'll have to check the mickey things out. That's what I really would like to do their bedroom in. We don't have a rooms to go kids here just a room to go. So I'll have to find the nearest store. Thanks

all three of my girls have disney themed rooms, my oldest has a loft bed, and we have scence from peter pan painted on 3 out of her 4 walls. We have one wall with peter, john, michael, wendy and tink flying to neverland, the next wall is captain hook and peter fighting, with smee and tiger lilly under them in a boat, and the croc by them as well. The next wall is captain hook in the crocs mouth, with peter pan holding hooks hat and crowing. The pictures are all about 3-4 foot tall.
My middle daughter has yellow and pink stripes on the bottom half of her room, with a white chair rail in the middle, the top of the wall is pale pink, one wall has portraits of snow white, cindy, and belle, she also has the cinderella bed (the carriage), from rooms to go.
My youngest, has the coolest room, 3 walls are muraled to look like the forest, and we have all the pooh characters on the wall, except owl (working one him), I love her room the most, it is the most real, the bottom is green, with lots of flowers, the top is blue, with clouds, we have a huge tree in the corner, and she has pooh, piglet, rabbit, christoper robin, gopher, lumpy, roo, eeyore, and tigger on the wall, and I have to paint owl still.
It is super easy to do, I use a cliparts site, and print out the clipart onto transparancy paper, then I use a overhead to put the image on the wall, and trace around the image, then I paint it (sort of like a coloring book) They love it, and I love doing it, so when they grow out of them, we paint over them, no biggie.
I would post pictures, but have no idea how, sorry!

Go to your local wallpaper store and ask for the Disney wallpaper book to check out. It will give you good ideas even if you don't want to use wallpaper. We did our DS room in Mickey :mickeyjum . We painted the wall white on top and red on the bottom and then got a Mickey border with a dark blue background to match his furniture. Then we got him Mickey sheets&comforter, Mickey clocks and other themed things and it turned out great. You can also go to Home Depot. They have the Disney themed paint colors and there are always room theme idea booklets. Our DD has the Cinderella princess: themed paint colors in her room. They also carry some borders, stencils, stamps, and wall stickers for fairly inexpensive. We used the castle one for DD. You can even order blinds and doors with Disney themes on them :goodvibes . We had so much fun with our Disney themed bedrooms and our kids love them. Good luck finding a theme you like.

I just did a cars room for a 5 and 7 year old (girls). We did cars and Nacar (it was a compermize). A couple cheap jeff gordon pictures, some checkered fabric (nice home-ade flags, curtains, wall art) and BOOM a themed room. Oh im missing the cars quilt and stickers.

My DS has a Cars themed bedroom. We went overboard a bit and got him the McQeen twin bed. ALso I painted his room a nice blue color and did a Cars border they had at home depot. My mom made him special cars curtains and I framed the Lithographs we got when we preordered cars from Disney store. I just need the cars lamp. We even got the Cars nightlight.

For DD we did her room in a Princess theme. We painted her room a pink Disney color and just used her bedding we got from Disney shopping which is pink with all the princesses on it. I also did a border in her room and she has the Princess Tv and DVD player. Everything in her is princess come to think of it. Her curtains, nightlight, lamp, Cd player/ jewerly box and even her calender. her furniture looks just like that white sleigh bed set from rooms to go. I love all those rooms very cute BTW. I want to get Grandma to paint a castle on her wall since she is more artistic than me.

Your daughters rooms sound beautiful. I would love to see pics. I just don't know how to explain to you how to post them. I believe all you do is when you reply to a post go to your pictures click on the ones you want to post and then click attach and they automatically add them to your post. Maybe someone else can explain better. Where did you get the overhead to use? I've wanted to do that but didn't really want to purchase an overhead. Thanks

Actually, you can't just paste or attach a pic into your post-it doesn't work. You need a web url in order to post them. I know cause I just went through learning how to do this-with a lot of help from my fellow dis'ers. You need to create an account at www.photobucket.com. Then upload your pics. Photobucket gives you the url for each picture that you will need to enter into your post (using the insert image icon) and then the pics will show up. :flower3:

I will work later tonight on posting pictures of there rooms,
we bought an overhead at staples. We could of rented one at the library for 15 a day, but I have used it so much, we bought a very cheap one (150ish)
When we finish the basement, the girls want EVERYONE down there! There list is a mile long, and since it is a huge basement, I figure, who cares! So, it was easier to buy one.

I'm going to be doing my girl's room in a hula/surf/island Disney theme. My oldest doesn't like PINK anymore so we're doing teal bedding, painting the walls a sand color, putting artwork she's made in frames, the word ALOHA on the wall in wooden letters, on a high shelf we're going to display a bottle of sea glass we've collected & some shells. We have a few Mickeys in "Island" wear and Minnie in a hula skirt & lei. We're mounting her longboard surfboard on the wall so it kinda adds to the theme. It's subtle but it's going to look nice when it's done. I'll post pics when it's through :p
