I say go for it!!!! I just got my first tattoo on my right shoulder on Tuesday. I'm soooooooo happy I got it. It didn't hurt that much and is a great conversation piece. I thought about what I wanted for about 3 years and when I decided on what I was getting it took me about three weeks to find the right shop. (research the shops to get info if the are good and clean) I'm getting # 2 in about a year and I'm going to work a hidden mickey in to it. I'm 36 and proud to have my first tattoo.
GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

Nate :thumbsup2

Congrats! What did you get?

I love your tattoo funhouse8. That is EXACTLY what I want - a small black Mickey head on my ankle. I have a butterfly on my back that I got when I was a teenager and I HATE it. Guess Mom was right on that one! ;)

DH has three tattoos - a Sorcerer Mickey on his chest, a heart with our girls' names on it on his upper arm and his last one was a Jiminy on his back. Here's a pic of it right after he did it. I think it has been about a year?

The Jiminy tattoo is really nice!

I love the "hidden mickey" idea!

So many choices!!!!!

I am definately doing my research first for a good parlor.

I got a sentimental tattoo honoring my parents. My father was a bodybuilder and bent a thick bolt which has been chromed and framed for many years. I got the bent bolt tattooed on my arm with roses wrapped around it for my mom. I love it!!!!

Thanks, I also love the Jiminy. My friend who I went with for my tattoo was getting her butterfly on her back redone. She had it since she was 18 and we are in our 40's now. He did such a wonderful job of fixing up the color and improving the wings. Maybe you can have this done too. It is just beautiful now and was quite ugly & plain before. Tattoos have come a long way! :sunny:

I would love to show a picture of it but I'm not up to speed on digital pics yet. I'm still stuck in the 80's(hahahaha) Next week is going to be my breakthrough with digital and a new computer. I'll try it then. The artwork was done by the tatoo guy. I brought the bolt in and I told him what I wanted. Thanks for the interest in my tattoo. I'll see what I can do about that picture.

I love her. She looks great!

My father just died. I would like to get something small as a memorial to him and would also like to incorporate something "Disney" .

Any ideas? I am a Man, so keep that in mind.

John

hey john did your father have a favorite disney character, and if so that might be cool.or a pirates flap with the rip with his dates to and from..

Sorry to hear that, I know what that feels like. Love the idea of a tattoo for him, I did it and it feels great!! When you think of him, what do you think of. Find your fondest memory of him and put in a tattoo. Insert a hidden mickey inside the tattoo. My father passed away 12 yrs ago and I just got my tattoo last week. Make sure it's what you want and will be happy with it. Good luck.

I will be getting my first one within the next month or so. I think it will be right around Mother's Day. It is Sorcerer Mickey. I want it on the back of my right shoulder. Probably about 2" tall. I was quoted a price of $100. Here is a pic of it:

This is a really cute tattoo! A friend of mine has it and the guy who did it did a great job with the color, really vibrant!
Good luck!!

This is similar to what my DH has on his chest, except his Mickey's arms are crossed and folded, there is no wand. :thumbsup2

I keep threatening but, have held off getting any ink so far...main reason is - I tend to "get-over" jewelry/accessories quickly & would hate to be stuck with something I no longer think is cool years later. An acquaintance has a very large "Property of ***" on her left chest/breast. Too bad, they divorced 10 years ago.LOL

Somewhat surprised that since they're becoming so mainstream, Disney hasn't opend a tatoo parlor somewhere on site - BW/DTD?

Personally, think the wall-paper Haunted Mansion icon would be a keeper.:thumbsup2 The colors are great on the ones posted, nice work.

When we were at Epcot for spring break I asked at the Henna tattoo place in Morocco if they would do a small Mickey head on my ankle and I was told no. :confused3
