Terence, do you mean the stage show for intermediate students? Or something else? My DD's Grade 8 class did Aladdin Jr. for their school play this year.
No reviews in yet for Aladdin Jr. The show opens on May 16. Here is an excerpt from the website.
"Silver Mist Productions Inc. is delighted to bring Disney's Aladdin to Niagara Falls. This musical adaption of the hit Disney film will be opening at the Greg Frewin Theatre, May16th, 2006.
Niagara Falls, has never hosted a theatrical event of this magnitude. As a family attraction this is what Niagara Falls has been waiting years for, don't miss it during it's limited engagement ending September 5th 2006."
Another brochure that I have says the show features stars from Toronto's Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mama Mia, and Miss Saigon.
I thought this is like other stage shows which must have been shown in other cities in North America. I was wondering if it's targeted for teenagers or not.
Niagara Falls is definitely a fun place to be. It is far less tacky than it used to be. I run the Niagara Falls Blog and the Niagara Falls Gallery and have all sorts of information on many of the attractions and restaurants that have been mentioned. If I could add to the list, I would add Marineland and Clifton Hill. Marineland is a great amusement park kind of like Sea World, and Clifton Hill is a street that has all sorts of museums and other attractions. The latest addition is a 175ft Ferris wheel!
Unfortunately I couldn't post links because this is my first time posting. If you are interested in seeing pictures of a lot of the things mentioned in this thread, then you'll need to go to Google and do a search for accessniagara Niagara Falls Blog you'll find the site.
As someone who used to live in Burlington, it's great to hear that Great Wolf is coming to Niagara Falls - you will love it. I first saw their hotel in Wisconsin Dells many years ago and have stopped in that area each of the past 3 years. Niagara Falls would be well served in following the Wisconsin Dells model of family oriented hotels that combine water features and theme parks all in one.
Okay, so we are going to try and make this trip for July with 3 kids. DH really wants to go to the casino or stay at the casino. Anyone know of any deals out there. I checked the websites and rooms are running around $300 per night. Way too high for us. Looking for a little side excursion maybe $60 per night. Is there someplace close to the casino that is safe and decent to go to with 3 kids? Never been to Niagara Falls before so I have no idea what to expect. I already heard that we need to stay in Ontario as that is the tourist section. Really looking for a decent room for a good price. Should I try Priceline?
