Disney Studios Star Wars Travels

Hi Everyone who likes Disney Parks and Star Wars.

I am a professor of art and design and I research articles for a travel website. I stumbled across a series of haunting photos of the original Star Wars sets (episode IV) that are located in Tunisia and Morocco. It's hard to believe that they were just left there and that people travel to them today to photograph (and leave graffiti).

I love the new (not really new anymore) versions of Star Tours although everything is so digitally composited that its nice to think that Lucas used to go to real locations and film.

Since Disney now owns SW, I'm pretty sure that is correct.

Also in the news recently were reports and photos showing that the Mos Espos site is in danger of being buried by encroaching sand dunes. Looks like not even George Lucas is immune to Mother Nature.

I've also seen where organized tours are starting to go out to the sites. But I'm guessing that would be for the hard-core fans!
