Disney Studios May the 4th

I have a trip booked over May 4 and plan on spending that day at Disney Studios. It is part of a week long vacation (me and my sister) and is not the only day we will be visiting the studios. The plan is to buy the Premier Pass for that day. But I'm wondering, if we plan on doing some shopping that day too, would it be smarter to get the Premium Pass on the other day we will be visiting the studios? I know the park will be busy, but maybe the pass would be a waste of money if we plan on doing a lot of shopping too?

It will be busier than usual that day since it's Star Wars Day, but I'm not sure how much busier.

Sounds like you are planning on one day for (mostly) shopping, and one day for (mostly) rides? As far as I know, if you're going to get the premier pass for the "rides" day anyway, it doesn't really matter which day is busier, since you'll be able to skip every line. So maybe you should buy the premier pass on the busier day (which presumbaly is the fourth), that way for the rides that you do want to try to ride on the other day, the standby queues might be shorter that day.

it's also possible that the price will be different for LLPP for the two days - if so, the more expensive day is a sign that the pass is more valuable (and since you're buying LLPP you don't care about price anyway lol)
