I may have been one of the family members that made you cry! We were the empty nest - grandparent family. We spoke from the heart and DVC has been the best thing we have ever done for our family. Did you see it on you tube or TV? I thought they stopped airing it.
It is a dream for me to own DVC one day. I just watched the Disney Story Book Vacations DVC infomercial....and it is a real tear jerker. I am crying like a baby. lol.
Wish I was ready to buy DVC today.

.Open up your eyes before you buy. It's a timeshare and probably the most expensive timeshare there is. There really isn't anything magical about it other than you get to go to WDW and stay at a nice resort using your points. Unless you consider your money magically disappearing each month when you pay your monthly member fees.![]()
Just stating the facts. Try not to get Pixie Dust in your eyes and do something you will regret. DVC is expensive and you'll spend a lot more at Disney - tickets, food, souveniers, etc. DVC only pays for your lodging and you still have to pay the monthly fees that go up each year. Ultimately, you will spend more on these fees that you will on your initial buy in.
And no matter how Disney spins it, trading out and using points for anything but DVC is a poor use of points.
...So if I and many others choose DVC because IMHO the service and facilities are worth it, it is our choice, we don't need someone trying to ruin it for us with constant complaining.
