Disney Stores - Walden Galleria and Boulevard Mall

I understand they are closing, but wondered if anyone has been to either recently and if it might be worth my while to head over after work tomorrow night?

Was at Walden about 3 weeks ago, they told us they would be around for about 6 weeks or so. Lots of sales, but the faster the stuff goes probably the shorter time they will be around. We were thinking about heading over this wknd too. I would think that Blvd Mall is about the same.

From what I understand none of them are staying open. It sounds like there will be a period with none and then Disney will assess whether they'll open again. Apparently 98 stores are closing permanently.

If anyone has heard anything different I'd love to hear about it, especially if they hear one is actually staying open!

I didn't know Boulevard Mall has a Dinsey Store.

We were at Walden last Sunday and the store had quite a few of those Tinkerbell playsets, plastic tumblers, EXCELLENT deals on waterglobes and lots of stuffed animals. Very limited selection of clothing.

On a side note, there was a post in the store saying the store fixtures are for sale. I asked the CM there if that also meant the big character decorations in the front were for sale but they aren't . Those are considered "animation" not "fixtures".

I would have bought some waterglobes if I wasn't saving for Disney!

I believe they were around $50.00 with regular prices over $100.00

I ended up going this morning to both Walden and Boulevard. Almost all of the snowglobes are down to 19.99. I got some pins 30% off and some Disney fairies stuff for my niece that was 66 - 80% off. Clothing is still at 30% off. My son took home some more jewel bags - like we needed any more of those!!! He also got a great POTC flag hanging from a sword. It was 1.99 marked down from 14.50. Things are getting slim pickings though...

Lots of Oswald stuff - we're up on Mickey, though.

POTC, Snow White and Prince Charming and Tinkerbell/Fairies. There may have been others, but these are the ones that I recall.

We went yesterday to the store at Walden, bought Pirates Globe, 19.99 regular $100., even had a sale sticker on it that was $59.99. Had a Tinkerbell one that was the same price and a Fantasia one, it was a little bigger, I think it was $45.
I asked how much longer, the cast member at the counter said till the end of June.

I was at Boulevard this past Sunday, and it still had a fair amount of items. The girl told me they are closing 2 in Canada, Eaton Center for sure.

Any one know I live near fairview and scarbough town center which both have a disney store. I hope they don't close either of them but if they do hopefully at least one stays open.

Just got back from the Walden and there is nothing there. I think I just may have to order online.

wow, i did not think the store would be closed that fast. I guess i will try Boulevard,. Does anyone know if i can still get Disney Dollars in the stores that are still open or closing shortly?

They did not have Disney dollars at the Galleria. And the store wasn't closed... but it was reduced to about half of it original size and there was no selection of anything,

I called both locations to see if they had Disney dollars and I was told they had them taken away as soon as they were told they were closing. I went last week and the sales were not any better than the semi annual sale at our Disney stores, plus our store have a better selection.
