Disney Stores to Children's Place?

Well, I just went to the Disney Store, and I over heard the Head CM tell another CM that on October 11th Children's Place will be signing paper work. She didn't say what all the details were, she said that she didn't even know. All she knew was it's happening on October 11th. I know it's true, I saw her show the other CM the email that Children's Place was signing paper work for either owning the chain or either leasing. Anyone else know about this?

Yes, there's been a lot of discussion about this lately. I spoke to a CM at our local store this past weekend and she said that they are just waiting for the paperwork to be complete. According to her, the only question left is whether they get to keep any of their Disney benefits.

Spoke to an ASM at my DS today and she said it was a "done deal". The paper work is scheduled to be signed sometime next week. The hold-up are the benefits. Apparently CP wants Disney to retain some of the benefits and Disney does not want to without some sort of financial renumeration. The ASM said that the switch would take place by November.
From what she has learned, they will lose their silver passes. The discount will change to 30% for all employees (no more 20% and 35%). DS CMs will be able to use their discount at the CP but CP employees cannot use their discount at the DS. They will gain better vacation time based on length of service.
The sticking point are the discounts at the parks. Disney still wants the stores to sell tickets and Disney Dollars, but does not want to continue the park discounts.
On a side note, she did mention that the quality of the merchandise has greatly improved. She has been impressed by what they have received lately.
