Wet Seal names former Disney Store chief CEO

CHICAGO, May 29 (Reuters) - Specialty apparel retailer Wet Seal Inc. (nasdaq: WTSLA - news - people) said on Thursday that it has named Peter Whitford, former president of Disney Stores (nyse: WTSLA - news - people), as chief executive officer.
He replaces Chairman Irving Teitelbaum, who had been acting as chief executive since February, when the teen-oriented clothing chain dismissed Kathy Bronstein as chief executive.
