Disney Store ??

Has anyone ever bought tickets for WDW in any of the Canadian Disney Stores? The price is comparable to undercovertourist (after conversion anyway). Do you get an actual ticket, or do you get a voucher that you have to exchange for a ticket? Thanks....

I bought tickets for my nephew and I in 2007. They were actual tickets (same as you get if you stay offsite or buy your tickets separately) and it was easy and in Canadian dollars.

You should really make sure and compare the price between the Disney store and undercover tourist. The Disney store listed price doesn't include the HST, but undercover tourist does include taxes.

Just be aware of the actual costs before you buy.

Good point. Although you also have to be careful with undercover tourist, because their prices in Canadian dollar are not exactly what they charge. I believe they have to charge in American $ and then transfer the money into CDN same as any other company. I have used them before and they are great to deal with as well.

You get an actual ticket when you purchase at the store. It is a paper ticket (like you would get if your purchased your ticket at one of the parks gates) rather than a plastic card style (that you would get on your Key to the World room & ticket card).

From what I remember, I purchased my tickets 3 months before we left (because I was budgeting and purchasing things as I had to money to make my budget less hard on me) and I was told that its okay to purchase them this early because they wouldn't expire until 14 days from first use.

There is no HST on Disney tickets.

They are not usable in Canada and are not taxed in Canada. They do include the Florida sales tax.

well...I just looked at the information for tickets through the Disney store in Edmonton (I don't know if other provinces will have different prices based on taxes????). The price for a 5 day MYW pass in Canadian dollars inclusive was $265.03, and a 7 day MYW pass inclusive was $276.21.

Looking at undercovertourist.com, a 5 day with 1 day free MYW pass was $246.95 USD. Exchanging that would probably be a couple of dollars less (credit card fees and exchange rate). We wanted a 5 day, but with undercovertourist, you get an additional day free....this is a nice little bonus! We wouldn't buy the 7 day pass.

And, not having to deal with the Disney Store in West Edmonton Mall is a bonus! That place is always a zoo!

I've always found undercovertourist prices to be the best, and if you subsrcibe to the mousesavers newsletter, you get a few more dollars off their price too.
