Disney Store sale (sale OF the stores, not A sale) update

Aw, gee Dan. I was about to head out & do some shopping. ;) Hopefully the new store owner will bring in more adult clothes. Hardly ANY of my old Disney Store stuff fits any more.:teeth:

Interesting....although I still enjoy a jaunt through the DS, it's nowhere near the quality it was 10 years ago or so....so much cheap sweatshirts now and basically toys, toys and more toys.

I found out a couple weeks ago that The Disney Store here in the Millcreek Mall is to close this month. They have sent all the remaining CDs, DVDs, books, and such to another location. Theres not much left now. I'm really going to miss it! It was always a must stop when I was shopping at the mall.

Does anyone know if The Disney Store.com will still exist? If not I guess I'll have to go to WDW to do my Christmas shopping! Oh whoa is me!

Good morning princessariel,

I'm from Erie too!! I just found out that "our" Disney Store was closing about a week ago. How depressing is that!?!

I just wanted to say hi from one Erieite to another. Have a great day!:sunny:

Our city went from 2 DS locations to one, and I couldn't even tell you if that one is still open. TDS needs to be more like the shops at WDW. I can't imagine the new ownership making the stores any worse than they are now.

The article says that the Disney stores "draw more visitors each year than Disney's renowned theme parks." Even with 335 stores that still seems surprising to me - the stores here never seem to have many people in them. I guess it makes sense if they are including the World of Disney stores at Downtown Disney at WDW and DL, which I guess they are.
