Just so you all know, the Disney stores will be dropping the prices on all Disneyland and WDW passes as of July 2 to try and match the current exchange rate. Price drop will be an average of $15 per ticket. Some WDW passes may drop up to $25 per ticket.

Yes this is very interesting as I was about to book my vacation as was going to use CAA as I was finding that the prices were way to high when I went to other TA and found that the hotel and tickets were alot cheaper doing things with them. I will have to sit down and decide if it is cheaper to do it with someone else now for my hotel only and then buy the tickets thru the Disney Store.

I would also like to know where you heard this?

I work at the Disney Store. If you are looking for price drops anywhere else, like CAA for example, you probably won't find it because CAA and other agencies typically sell the tickets in US funds. Disney Store charges you in Canadian dollars, so they are basically dropping the Canadian price to match the current exchange rate. For example, an Adult 3 day disneyland park hopper is currently $185 CDN at the Disney Store and I think the US advance purchase price is $139. With the current exchange rate, it doesn't measure up, so Disney Store will be dropping the Canadian price to $170.

That's still charging the customer more than the exchange rate!

When I did my research last year for my Sept trip, I found that the cheapest place to buy the passes was ticketmania. That was after looking at CAA, Disney Store, on-line, etc. AND, that was when the dollar was at 70 cents! You can do much better now.

That being said, what are you quoting? I can't find prices that you list. The advance Disney US price for a 3-day WDW "hopper" is $221 plus taxes.
EDIT: Oops, sorry I see you were quoting DL. The advance DL price for a hopper is not $139, it's currently $119 so at $170CDN the stores are really gauging the customer. :sad2:

The DL $119. advance purchase 3 day PH price is actually for a child ages 3-9. An adult ticket would be $149.

I did a double-take because we are going to DL next month and I've been deciding between a 3 or 4 day ($169.) adult PH and I thought I was missing some kind of a deal! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the info, Belle. I've been wondering if we'd see the effect of the strong dollar anywhere.

Sorry for the incorrect quotes!! My bad. It was late at night when I did that post, and I am working purely off memory, which obviously isn't very good!! Because we sell so many different passes I can't keep track of pricing very well!! You won't find these new prices posted anywhere yet. We got a list of new prices at work for our own reference. I have typically been telling our guests to buy passes other places, like online, because our prices are higher. The next time I am at work I will get the new pricing and post it here. I do know some of the largest price drops will be for WDW, but I won't even try to guess those prices right now!!

Thank you, I am in the process of buying tickets...so I'll hold off a month or two!

I was just in the DS 2 days ago and I got a quote for a 4 day pass...$215. Sorry, didn't ask about the other options. A while back i remember researching and finding out that buying through the disney stores was cheaper because it was a set price when the US dollar was high. I am getting mine through Airmiles!!! Therefore they are FREE!!! yay.

I was in TDS last month and the CM thinks the prices will go down some time mid to the end of July.

I wish I knew what the prices would be as we are about to book things and we are using CAA/AAA for our hotel and tickets. We were looking at a 7 day park hopper for 3 adults and 1 child

The ticket prices are not going to be any less expensive than buying anywhere else or Disney.

They are not discounting them they are simply adjusting the rate due to the fact the current rates are reflecting a higher exchange rate.

this site beats all prices and we ordered 2 10-day hoppers from them few months back, super fast service, no problems. Much cheaper than disney store prices. And full money back policy if ticket is unopened and unused.

Are you talking about disboard.com as I didn't even think about them

Belle2002.....Do you think they will ever sell Annual Passes at the Disney Stores in Canada ? (or any Disney Store for that matter)

Just to let everyone know, the park passes will be repriced at about a $1.10 exchange rate. This will be effective on July 2nd.

Do you know if GTA stores will be selling DL passes? The original poster mentioned prices for DLR, but I was under the impression that only WDW passes were available here?

Do you know what the prices would be? I would like to compare them with the discount places.
