Hi Everyone -

Does anyone know if you can use a Disney Store Merchandise Credit to buy gift cards (at the Disney Store, of course.) We are going to WDW in a few weeks and it would be nice to have a gift card!

Thanks!
Kim

The Disney Store website says you cannot use other gift cards or merchandise credits to buy gift cards.

It wouldn't make business sense for them to allow it. The merchandise they sell for $50 probably cost them $25, and by giving merchandise credits, they know that the value of whatever you use the credit on will be at a comparable cost to them. A gift card would give them a loss on the transaction, since it would cost them face value.

Find some cute t-shirts for your trip so you don't have to buy any there. :) Or "surprise" toys for the kids to cut down on the "I wants" at every single gift shop you pass.

Have fun!

I don't know of a single store that allows store credit to be used to buy gift cards.

Buy yourself a cute shirt for your trip.
