Disney Store GC for Park Tickets Question

I know Disney Store GCs can only be used at Disney Stores and DisneyStore.com but my local Disney Store sells WDW park admission tickets. So my question is, can I buy discounted Disney Store GCs and use them for WDW park admissions purchased at my Disney Store? I actually asked a DS employee last time I was there but she admitted she had no idea. Does anyone have experience with this?

If you're talking about a "merchandise" GC, then I believe that the terms exclude theme park tickets.
