Disney Store exchange question .....

I bought 2 Disney costumes at the Toronto Eaton Centre Disney Store in mid September, but they are made a little bit too narrow for DD2 (she's on the plump side LOL). She's only tried each one on once - other than that they have been sitting in the closet. I'd like to exchange them for the size above, and I'll be going to the Disney Store in Aventura, Florida in early November (there is no Disney Store in my country). I wrote an e-mail to Disney Store 2 days ago asking about this, but haven't had a reply.

Does anyone know if I can exchange stuff bought at a Canadian Disney Store in a U.S. Disney Store? And, will too much time have passed between purchase and exchange? I don't want to lug the bulky dresses to Florida with me if there's little chance that I will get them exchanged.

You can return Canadian store items to a store in the US, however, if they are halloween costumes, all halloween costumes and accessories must be returned within 60 days or by October 31, whichever comes first, so if you aren't going until November, you won't be able to make the return. Original tags must still be attached and all accessories must still be on the cardboard or unopened in the package.

I'm a seasonal cast member and I just called my manager and she said you should have no problem returning (or exchanging if they have it) at a store in the states. She said a receipt would be helpful in determining price, because if you have to do a return all costumes are 25% off right now. :)

You can always call the store you are visiting directly also - The Aventura store # is (305) 935-8770. Ask to speak to a manager. :)

Ahhh, I didn't see the November date issue.

Can you put them up for sale on Ebay?

Thanks for the responses!

I'm not sure if they are actually Halloween costumes - they are Cinderella and Little Mermaid outfits that I was keeping for general "dress up", not just for Halloween. But I guess if they have designated them as "Halloween", then I'd be out of luck returning them in November!

Also, I took the price tags off, because at the time I didn't think I'd be able to return them - this November trip came up unexpectedly. It's a habit with me to take all the price tags off when I buy stuff overseas, because there's usually no chance that I will return the items. I did keep the receipt though.

I also can't sell on e-Bay - no Paypal account, and no ability to get one because I have a Barbados credit card. I can accept US$ money orders, but e-Bay requires a Paypal account for paying their fees.

If I can't return them I will keep them wrapped up carefully and maybe give them away as gifts - it's just that right now I don't have any 2 yo girls on my gift list, and if I store it too long it will start to grow mold (our climate is very humid, and we don't have any climate controlled rooms in our house).

Not sure what to do - maybe I will call the Aventura store - it might be worth the long distance charge!

If you have removed the tags, you will not be able to return them at all.
