I just found out a disney store semi close by is closing at the end of the month. Anyone out there who has experienced this, can you tell me what the deal usually is? When does the stuff go 50% and then 75% or does it usually do this? When it goes 75% is it too picked over? The store isn't very close to me and so it will be hard to just pop in and see. But definately worth the drive if things are a good deal. I'm very sad to see it go because it was in a nicer mall and seemed to carry some more interesting things at times than some of the other stores around:( Thanks for your help!

If you want the "good stuff" go now! It does not hit 75% off until the last day, and then not everything goes 75%. Left over merchandise gets shiped away.

Ours went to 75% for the last week. However the other store which was 5 mi away is having an annual sale which tons of stuff is 75%. We did get some stuffed toys and clothes, but I lucked out and got there when it opened and it went to 75% that day, by noon it was wiped out.

Have you heard IF the Fairfield Commons store is closing. The clerk told us they were told they would be there only until January. I'm bummed.

The Cm told us it was NOT closing!!! I hope not, I love that place! I will have to ask the mgr when I see her next.

I was in the Braintree, MA store yesterday and a customer in front of me asked the CM if they were closing. The CM said no and as far as she know there are no plans on that store closing. In fact, they had new pajama's in for the fall/winter and new school backpacks.

Do things like to DVD's and princess dolls go on sale or am I just wishing? I am so sad it's closing! I am going to need to stock up for christmas and birthdays.

Actually I just found out ANOTHER disney store near me is closing too and not at the end of the month but both on Sunday!!! They are both in San Diego, Ca. La Jolla and Escondido. I just called the Escondid store and the CM told me that they won't be having any sale they will be just shipping stuff to other stores. Has this happened to anyone? Did a store close and not have a sale? What a bummer if that is true. I am already so sad about the closings, the only silver lining in that cloud was that I'd maybe get a sale to stock up from. As of today, Thursday, there is no sale other than the stuff that was 50% off for the semi annual sale. Sunday will be a sad day for us here in San Diego.:(

Sometimes they don't always go to 75%...depending on what they have left...sometimes it's just 50-60%
DVD's, in my experience were'nt included...but Princess dolls were.

All DVDs, VHS and CD's are transferred out to other stores. The cost to get them from BVHE is about a dollar (at most two) less than what they sell for.

When ours closed last fall, they didn't have any kind of sale.

I found out about the store in Greenbrier when I went and the store was empty.... No notice, no sale, no nothing. (Naturally this was my favorite store in the area.)

Hope the CM's got some notice. The customers did not.
