Disney Store and online ticket voucher question

Please help me remember...the 'tickets' you can get at the Disney Store...are those at florida resident rates, or are those the regular rates? When you buy, do you have to register your name with them, or are they just tickets that hold no information until you redeem them? Online ticketing, if you purchase for someone else, do you have to be one of the people redeeming the tickets?

I want to buy some tickets for friends coming out from the UK. What would be the best and cheapest way to do this?

I don't know about the Disney store. Cheshire Figment on the theme parks board (ticket CM) has stated in the past that all FL tickets you purchase outside the parks (meaning away from the parks) are just vouchers - whether they sell those at the Disney store in FL, I don't know.

But regardless, you can't purchase FL resident tickets for people that don't reside in FL. As stated, if you purchase somewhere other than Disney you just get vouchers and you have to exchange them @ the park showing your proof of FL residence for all people 18 and over.

The Everything about WDW tickets sticky mentions the special tickets sold online by Disney for UK residents. This might be an option depending on how long they plan to visit.

The Disney Store will sell live "tourist" MYW tickets.

For any level of AP, TDS will sell only vouchers (exchange certificates)

TDS in Florida will also sell vouchers for Florida Resident tickets.

All vouchers must be exchanged for live tickets at any WDW ticket or Guest Relations window. Any person 18 or over must provide a Photo ID. For Florida Resident tickets, each person 18 or older must present valid Florida identification
