Hello! Looking to stay one or two nights next weekend.
looking at lake Buenavista place or bonnet creek.I called the palace and they said they are across street fromDisney springs- is it a long walk? The map didn’t look like right across the street.
For Hilton Bonnet creek- is it an easy drive?

trip is going to be swimming and visiting Disney springs.

We love the Wyndham in Bonnet Creek - gorgeous property in a great location. But if you are planning to visit Disney Springs between now and the end of the year and you're considering one of the nicer of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd anyway, I'd definitely stay there. Traffic and parking at Disney Springs have been a problem lately, with garages and lots full by late afternoon some days. So walking there from a nearby hotel is a better idea at this time of year. I've never stayed at any of those hotels but there are often people out walking to Disney Springs from there... can't be too bad.

I like Palace better than Bonnet Creek. Has more of a resort feel with the stores and activity rooms and stuff.
And pool area seems more resorty to me. Bigger rooms with high ceilings.

Palace is at the end of Disney Springs. And Disney Springs is one long stretch. But since you have a car, you could just park at the lime or orange garage. Walking it's illegal to cross the street (Disney Springs is right across the street from Palace) so you have to walk down and then go up the pedestrian bridge and take the escalator down to Disney Springs. So maybe a 4 minute walk to Disney Springs.

Bonnet Creek is maybe 7 minutes by car. Enough to be annoying to me. But closer to the parks.

Thanks for your opinion! We have been to bonnet creek but it has been years. We liked the pool area but the stop was just a quick one before onsite. If palace is nice too I think that would be better

Had you been to the Hilton bonnet creek or Wyndham bonnet creek - I just realized they are two separate. I’ve stayed at Hilton.

I'm only been to the Hilton Bonnet Creek for one night. It was nice but I felt kind of plastic and modern without character.
It really was just a place to sleep for me since I was in the parks all day so felt like a waste of money. And they didn't have a bath tub which I didn't like. (nice gym though)

The other thing that annoyed me about Bonnet Creak (and this would be for both) is that that bus takes forever to get to MK or back. I think it goes from AK to MK to Epcot and then a bunch of hotels and wasted alot of time. It seems to me that those hotels are only good if you have a car but you should stay away if you are taking the hotel bus.

That’s the definition for stay on
on property

Make sure to call any resort you are considering and ask if the hot tubs are open. Air temps may be in the 60s so it will be cold at the pool if the hot tubs are closed due to covid and you can’t warm up. Last I read, hot tubs were closed at Wyndham properties, but things may have changed.

I did call and they advised the tub is open! I’m just watching the weather at this point
