Any stay at a good neighbor hotel in Disney Springs? How does that compare to on-site resort stay? How often do the buses run to the parks?

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. Buses to the parks (Jan/Feb 2020) were good, but our only issue was the return bus from Magic Kingdom. It picked up at the TTC instead of at front of park, line was long and disorganized and I was holding a sleeping 4 year old. We finally gave up, monorailed to the Grand Floridian, and took their bus to Disney Springs and walked back to Hilton. Wish we would have just taken Disney Springs bus from MK so it wouldn't have been as much of a long tiring night. The only other complaint is just that the 4 year old was used to the over-the-top theming of All-Stars, and Disney Springs hotels don't have as much of a Disney feel.

When looking at perks and benefits note that the Disney Springs hotels are called "Walt Disney World Official Hotels" they are NOT Good Neighbor Hotels. GN are not on site and do not get Disney Perks.

The Disney Springs hotels are normal branded hotels and are not themed like Disney hotels. Other than Buena Vista Palace you won't find themed or fancy pools. The plus is great location to walk to Disney Springs, larger rooms than comparable ones at Disney, lower prices (although most have resort & parking fees). Drury does include breakfast and evening reception that gives value.

Buses .... pre-COVID they were very regular but since you'd need to contact each hotel to see what they are offering. We drive to parks so I never experienced.

I have stayed at Hilton, Doubletree Suites, Buena Vista Palace, B Resort and Wyndham Garden. Likely won't stay Wyndham Garden again, maybe in the Tower, and unless Hilton has been renovated recently not on my radar for the price.
