Disney Springs Uber Question

I know there are two uber pick up spots at Disney Springs, but I'm wondering how they determine which one to use. If you are standing at one of the spots, does your uber automatically come to that one, or is it random and if you're at the wrong spot you're out of luck?

Your physical location when you request the ride is shared with the driver. If you use Lyft instead of Uber, there will be actual selections for the Eastside and Westside pickup locations.

If you are at the Eastside pickup (Marketplace) when you request the ride, the driver will go to that location.
If you are at the Westside pickup (near House of Blues) when you request the ride, the driver will go to that location.

Hi all! I'm just hijacking this thread to dig deeper on the topic.
I am familiar with the "old bus loop" on the East side of DS. I actually didn't realize it was old. I had assumed busses still picked/dropped off there -- I guess now it's for Ride Shares.

What I am not familiar with is the pickup / drop off on the West Side. The only information that I can find refers to pick up in the Watermelon Parking lot.. That doesn't seem real specific to me. Is there an actual sign on the curb anywhere?

It's been a year since we've been, but from what I remember, we followed the signs to the Watermelon Parking lot, and then there were other signs for 'Ride Share' pickup. Again, going off memory, met our ride share in the area I circled in red:

I think the location by Cirque drop off is also the drop off for the Bonnet Creek Resorts. I have only used this once but the entrance security was separate from the Exit side . So you might want to doublecheck that to avoid confusion. It was pouring rain and I tried to run out the exact way I had entered but discovered that was the wrong way to leave and I missed the bus by a second ! That’s why I am suggesting paying attention to the signs probably …

Thank you for that picture. I had looked it up on google maps, saw the pin for Watermelon Parking Log and was like.. ***.
I'm glad you provided this, because although the location circled is not "too" far off.. It would certainly cause my confusion.
