Disney Springs - the week before Christmas

I am trying to plan out our DS "Star Wars" day with the new VR experience plus seeing The Last Jedi on Tuesday, December 19. We also want to see the 7:00 pm Christmas drone show. It looks like we will have about 1 1/2 hours between the movie ending and the drone show, so I was thinking of doing a QS dinner in between (probably Blaze). I'm just wondering how crowded you think the QS will be this week (we'd be eating around 5:30 pm)? The last time we did this (saw Force Awakens on Dec. 26, 2015), DS was MOBBED.

This is my current plan:

10 am - arrive, go to Dress Shop at Cherry Tree Lane, poke around at other shops
11:45 am/12:00 noon - eat lunch at Boathouse
1:30 pm - Star Wars VR experience (it's listed as being 30 minutes long and I believe it's close to the theater?)
2:30 pm - The Last Jedi (running time, 2 1/2 hours, but I'm allowing another 30 minutes for previews)
5:30 pm - QS dinner
7:00 pm - drone show

I think you might be cutting it close for the 7 pm show especially if you want to get a spot close to the water. Blaze is frequently busy at mealtimes. Where did you see drone show schedules? I didn't think they confirmed it yet?

  • Meet Santa Goofy at the Santa Chalet in the Marketplace across from Ghirardelli 12:00pm-10:00pm(December 25-30)
  • Starbright Holidays - An Intel Collaboration at 7:00 & 8:30pm

Yay! I'm so excited.

We'll be there that week too OP, but I wasn't planning on SW until 12/22. We love DS & visit often, there's so much to see and eat!

We were there last year at the same time. We had an early reservation at the Rick Baylass restaurant, and by some good fortune, the host sat us at a table with a great view of the drone show. We saw another drone show from SSR later that night.
