Disney Springs Lunch

Hi all.

For my next trip in December, I will be taking an early flight into MCO and will be staying at POP. I have no expectations that my room will be ready so the plan is to drop my luggage off with bell service and then hop the bus to Disney Springs. I would do some shopping and then have lunch, just trying to waste time as it will be the Sunday after Thanksgiving and I KNOW the hotel will be busy with checkouts and cleaning the rooms.

My issue... I don't want to make a reservation because travel days have a way of going off the rails. So what I want to know is what places in Disney Springs you would suggest? I would love Table Service so I can sit and rest after traveling. Anywhere that is normally easy to walk in to? What about Counter Service backups?

We are eating at the polite pig for those same reasons. Never ate there but the reviews are good and no reservations (although I did see the line can be quite lengthy especially on the weekends)

The earlier you get to DS the better chance you have of getting a table at a TS place. Once it gets to be afternoon the restaurants get busy.

Consider some place more off-beat like Splitsville

Never had a problem getting a table at DS but you can always make a reservation via Open Table day before or day of if you like. Personal favorites: the Boathouse, Enzo’s Hideaway and Raglan Road come to mind.

For QS : The Polite Pig, never eaten there but always mean to; Morimoto Asia Street Food, had good luck with the kids enjoying The Chicken Guy nuggets.

Don’t forget you’ll have a free entry at the water park on arrival day!

I think quick and easy at DS I really enjoy Earl of Sandwich. It's nothing fancy but it moves pretty fast and you can eat there or anywhere else in Disney Springs since it's to-go!

Also it isn't generally too crazy at lunch so you could always just pick a nicer sit-down place and put your name in

How are you traveling between MCO and Pop? If someone else is driving, you could open MDE and search for ADRs at DS that day. I'll bet a lot will pop up for lunch. However, I can definitely endorse Polite Pig and D-Luxe Burger - they're our go-tos for lunch at DS!

The bar seating at Homecomin and Wine Bar George is first come, first serve. The wait would depend on your group size.

D-Luxe Burger and Polite Pig are both quick service with good seating areas. I really like Morimoto Street Food too, but it only has outdoor seats.

Are you a solo diner? If so, many places will have a bar that will likely have a seat. When I'm flying solo and staying at SSR, I will often duck into The Boathouse for a seat at the bar. I bet many others would work as well.

Polite Pig. Has a near table service feel for quick service prices. During nice weather, Polite Pig has outdoor and indoor seating. So many great food options for every taste bud!

We like Polite Pig, good prices, indoor or outdoor seating and we always manage to get a seat at lunchtime. Food's good too.

Dock seating (bar and tables) at The Boathouse doesn't require a reservation - we just walk out and find a table. Service and food have always been great and it's a fun place to sit (imho.)

Well deserved, based on my experience. I've eaten there twice and loved it both times-well, actually I really loved the first time better, but that was my fault. The first time I had a curry sauce with coconut (Mollie?) which I loved. But for whatever reason I decided to try a different sauce the second time, and chose something that was tomato based. Kept thinking as I ate that I should have picked the same curry sauce that I had the first time.
